Nathan Adkisson is a strategist and creative director in New York City.
His work focuses on large-scale, transformative experiences in public space. These include Target Open House, a radical reinvention of retail and ARoS Public, a bold reframing of art’s social mission.
He is the Director of Strategy at the National Design Award-winning studio Local Projects where he is currently guiding the development of Planet Word, a 50,000 square-foot museum in Washington, D.C. Upon opening in Spring 2020, it will be the world’s largest experience for exploring the effect of language on humanity.
He serves on the board of the Museum Computer Network and the SS Columbia Project and holds visiting faculty positions at the Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts.
